David Erfle

David Erfle, 76, passed away on February 6, 2022.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 11 at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave, Bismarck, N.D., and at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 12 at the Calvary Baptist Church, Carrington, N.D. Interment followed funeral service at the Carrington Cemetery.

Dave was born August 31, 1945, to Dave and Lizzie (Roller) Erfle, the youngest of eleven children. He was raised on a farm near Heaton, N.D., and later moved to Carrington. He attended school in Carrington, N.D. After high school, David worked in Minneapolis, Minn., and then moved back to Bowdon, N.D. He owned and operated Dave's Bar for 17 years.

Dave was involved in the Lions Club while in Bowdon. In 1993, David moved to Bismarck, N.D., where he was employed at Anderson Western for 11 years and then later worked at the Hodge Podge and Second Chances Thrift Center.

Dave was an avid Minnesota Vikings Fan and he also enjoyed San Francisco Giants baseball.

Dave will be missed by his brother, Art Erfle, Carrington; sister, Ruth Jensen, Surprise, Ariz .; nieces and nephews Sandra, Donna, Cheryll, Lloyd (Bud), Tom, Patty, Diane, Connie, Jerry, Carol, Darla, Dale, Stacy, Janice, Scott, Nancy, Janelle, Susan, Carla, Brian, Lisa, Steve, Joni, Mike, Troy, Denise, Todd, Kelly, Avery, and Mitchell; several grandnieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents, Dave, and Lizzie; brothers, Nick, Lloyd, Shorty, Elmer, Fritz and Roger; sisters, Irene Hennecke and Martha Burk-hardt.

Special thanks to my nieces, Connie, Diane, Stacy (football buddy), and Joni for taking such great care of me as well as my great friends at the high-rise community and the doctors and nurses on the second and fourth floor at Sanford Health Bismarck.
