Voters in Foster County will go to the polls on Tuesday, June 14 in a primary election to select state/county, city and park board representatives.
For cities, the primary is the finals for mayors, council persons and park board members, while state and county winners in the primary move on to the general election on November 8.
In the city of Carrington, there are several seats up for re-election including mayor, a four-year At Large term, Ward 1 South of Main Street and one Ward II North of Main Street, both four-year terms.
At the County Commission table, only two seats are up for grabs; that of Scott Beumer, District 4 and Alan Scanson, District 2.
On the ballot for offices in the Foster County Courthouse and running unopposed are: Auditor Brad Solberg, Treasurer Dianne Hertel, Recorder Lynelle Lyman-Hoppe, Sheriff Justin Johnson and State’s Attorney Kara Brinster.
There are also three seats on the Carrington Park Board that need to be filled.
The bench of the Carrington Municipal Court for Magistrate Judge is also available.
The City of Glenfield has two council seats available, both for four-year terms, both are At-Large.
The City of McHenry has two council seats available.
The City of Grace City has two At-Large council seats available as well as two At-Large park board commission seats.
The primary election will be held at the Carrington City Library from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
