Several Cardinal shooters had some perfect rounds at the Garrison Bullseye Tournament Saturday, February 26.
The CHS boys got six out of the top 10 placers, and the girls five out of 10 at the meet. As a group, the Cardinal teams shot a score of 3,178 with 117 10’s, or bullseyes, to place second out of three teams.
Male archers to place in the top 10 for the Cards in the high school division were Gavyn Anderson (second overall with 278 on 18 10’s), Braden Kruse (third, 276, 12), Hayden House (fourth, 271, 10), Taylor Braaten (fifth, 270, 13), Joe Lindberg (sixth, 267, 8) and Kanin Zieman (seventh, 258, 10). Travis Scanson (11th, 237, 4), also participated.
Anderson and Kruse, both juniors, each had perfect second rounds of 50, as did Taylor Braaten, one of CHS’ seniors, in the third round.
Girls’ division high schoolers to place were Hailee Weber (fourth, 253, 7), Zoey Kollman (fifth, 250, 10), Maggie Wobbema (sixth, 239, 4), Mae Eversvik (seventh, 239, 3), and Kaylee Barone (eighth, 236, 3). Sage Patzer (11th, 231, 5), and Joslyne Thompson (14th, 199, 3) also participated.

CES takes first at Wilton tourney
The Elementary School team took first place with a score of 1,236 at the Wilton 3-D Tournament, held February 11-12.
