Carrington’s Waste Pile Site will be open free of charge to all Carrington city residents on Thursday, June 2 and Friday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Residents are responsible for hauling their clean-up items to the waste pile site. Each driver shall be required to show a current water bill/stub as proof of residency.
The landfill is located one mile north of Highway 200 and 10th Avenue intersection and then ¾ mile west.
Items that are accepted include: white goods such as stoves, washers, etc., (Freon must be removed and certified from fridges and freezers), wood and tree branches, furniture and carpeting. Load must be separated by material.
A list of all items not accepted will be located in the PLUS Section of next week’s paper.
