Local Memorial Day services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church on May 30. The guest speaker was Capt. Garret Boyer of Fort Stewart, Ga. Capt. Boyer, a clinical psychologist, spoke to those attending about the appreciation for Memorial Day and the need to grow and develop empathy for those in combat situations. A graduate of CHS, Capt. Boyer is the son of Marlene and Gary Boyer of Carrington.
