Hornet boys finish solid third; Thorsons, Erickson win titles

HWC freshman Tallen Thorson earned the Class B state championship in the boys' 300-meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 41.01 seconds. He also placed second to his senior brother, Madden Thorson, in the 110-meter hurdles, and also ran on both the 4x100 and 4x200-meter relays which placed eighth and third, respectively.
Alex Erickson won the long jump and triple jump, while Madden Thorson won the 110-meter hurdles and Tallen Thorson won the 300 hurdles as the Hornets amassed 66 team points to finish third in the team standings at the recently-held State A and B Track and Field Meet at the MDU Resources Community Bowl in Bismarck.
