An American flag was stolen from the New Home Cemetery for the second time in a year.
Woodworth area resident Arvin Goter said Wednesday that a flag and pole had waved high in the cemetery, which is located 9 miles north and 4 miles west of Woodworth, for 40 years, until this past July.
Goter said he had raised a new flag on the pole in the spring of 2021, and then both the pole and flag disappeared in July, three months later. So he purchased another new American flag and pole and put them up this spring.
On the night of July 26, the second flag and pole disappeared. Goter is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the return of the flag and
