Do you suffer from aching, cramping, or pain in your legs? Do you have swelling in your legs or ankles? Do your legs feel heavy or fatigued? Do you have varicose veins?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we have help for you.

Dr. Michael Page is trained to perform the Closure Fast Procedure. This is a minimally invasive vein treatment that uses radiofrequency ablation delivered by an intravenous catheter to seal off the affected vein so blood gets rerouted to other veins.

Studies show that the Closure Fast Procedure is associated with lower rates of pain, bruising, and minor complications compared to other treatment options. Patients undergoing this procedure have reported marked improvements in quality of life measures.

Varicose veins occur when the valves in the leg veins no longer function properly, causing blood to pool in the legs. If left untreated, varicose veins can sometimes progress to a more serious form of venous disease called chronic venous insufficiency or CVI.

Varicose veins and CVI can affect anyone. Gender and age are factors that may increase your risk. The conditions tend to be more prevalent in women who have been pregnant, people who have a history of CVI, or those with jobs that require spending a great deal of time on their feet.

Men can also develop varicose veins as well as more severe symptoms of CVI. In fact, 43 percent of men are expected to develop some type of venous disease by the time they reach their 60s.

Spider veins are also caused by dysfunctional vein valves. Spider veins appear as a nest of blue or red veins just under the skin's surface, but usually do not bulge above the surface like varicose veins. Dr. Michael Page is also trained in the treatment of spider veins.

Do you think you may suffer from venous disease and would like help? Please call 701-652-2515 to set up your varicose vein screen with vein coordinator, Tamarra Marcotte.

A screening exam of your veins will be completed to determine if you are a candidate for the Closure Fast Procedure. This exam takes approximately 20 minutes. Dr. Page and his staff will then help with the arrangements needed to proceed forward with your care. Treatment of varicose veins is covered by most insurance plans.

When determining if a person is a candidate for the Closure Fast Procedure, their insurance is reviewed to determine specific coverage, certification period, etc. Spider veins, generally considered a cosmetic issue, may not be covered by your insurance plan. However, Dr. Page and his staff will assist with insurance verification for the treatment of these as well.

Don't wait, call now to schedule your vein consult at 701-652-2515.
