Stadium '22, as it looked two days prior to the football game against the Rugby Panthers on Friday, August 26. The new stadium was given a "test run" for a junior varsity contest last Monday, August 22. Press box facilities have yet to be installed.
Crew members take out pieces binding the support beams for the bleacher section together, so that a boom lift can take each individual section and move it to the correct location on the structure's skeleton.
The crew painstakingly puts each beam in place, and workers on the ground bend the steel to make sure that the bolts are a tight fit.
With the clock ticking down to the start of the football season in Carrington, construction crews from Seating and Athletic Facility Enterprises of Ellendale, Minn., were hard at work over a week's period to ensure that the successful opening of the so-called "Stadium '22" would happen by the time of the first varsity game of the season.
