Titan V-ballers defeat BCN, 3-1

Griggs/Midkota earned a four-set victory over Barnes County North, 25-17, 25-22, 20-25 and 25-20, to earn their first District 5 victory this fall.

Asia Becherl led the Titans (2-1 overall, 1-0 District 5) with 15 kills and three service aces, while Lauryn Halvorson added five kills and Kaylee Johnson four.

Also in the win, setters Ryan Johnson and Isabelle Kraft combined for 27 assists (19 for Johnson), and libero Vanessa Vollmer led the Titans with 21 digs. Andie Anderson had 15.

Jayden Samek and Charlotte Mueller were the only BCN Bison players who recorded kills on the night. Samek had six to lead the team, while Mueller finished with five.

Additionally, Ashley Weiss had three aces and two blocks, and was the co-leader with Desiree McGough in digs with nine. Weiss and Allison Bryn combined for 24 assists.
