Titans fall, 40-8, to Maple River

Griggs/Midkota laced up their cleats to take on the 9B Region 2 co-leaders, the Maple River (Hope-Page/Maple Valley) Raiders, in Hope on Friday, September 30.

The Raiders kept their undefeated mark in the region intact with a 40-8 win over the Titans, and set up a titanic showdown with the May-Port-CG Patriots for the Region 2 title this past Friday in Mayville.

Both MPCG and Maple River have clinched 9-man playoff berths, while the third slot is still up for grabs between Hatton-Northwood, the Titans and Enderlin. If Enderlin defeats H-N, that would trigger a three-way tie.

The Titans (1-3 Region 2, 1-6 overall) played Tri-State (Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah, Minn./Rosholt, S.D.) in their regular season finale October 7 in Cooperstown.
