Carrington, N.D. -With Halloween behind us and Thanksgiving just around the corner, it's hard to imagine that places are already filling with Christmas decorations.
In just four short weeks, on December 4, a "Festival of Trees" event will take place at Federated Church in Carrington.
In 2019, Sacred Heart & St. Elizabeth's Catholic Churches sponsored the first "Festival of Trees" event, which brought in over 20 decorated small trees and wreaths, as well as $1,000 to benefit the Carrington Area Ministerial Association.
Anyone, including individuals, churches, organizations and businesses, can decorate/submit a small (2 – 4 ft.) artificial tree or wreath for the event.
If you, your business or organization would like to provide a decorated tree or wreath for the event, please contact Pam Diede at (701) 653-5633 by November 30.
Area residents are invited to attend the free event to see the trees and enjoy refreshments from 1-3 p.m. on December 4. Tickets for a chance to win a decorated tree or wreath will be available at the church that day with the proceeds once again benefitting the Carrington Area Ministerial Association.
Those attending can "vote" for their favorite tree or wreath by depositing their purchased tickets in a box near their favorite tree or wreath.
