The Carrington wrestling dual versus Hillsboro/Central Valley last Tuesday night, November 29, marked the first time that a Cardinal girls' wrestler took the mat in front of the home crowd against another girl in sanctioned varsity competition.
Before the start of the boys' dual with the Burros, Mercedes Lura faced off with HCV's Crystal Magnuson, and would eventually emerge victorious with a pin. After the conclusion of the meet, Kylie Skadberg (not pictured) also got to wrestle against Magnuson, and got a win by fall herself.
