Steeped in Carrington's history is a beautiful place known as Rainbow Gardens, established in the 1930s by Japanese immigrant Harry Hayashi. The five-acre destination on the west end of Carrington was the first "motel" in North Dakota, boasting 16 units, a cafe, dance pavilion, and fabulous gardens filled with beautiful features.
