IV. ACTION ITEMS

1. Motion to approve pursuant to NDCC Section 15.1-16-10, the Board of Carrington School District recognizes Carrington Education Association as the appropriate negotiating unit all employees licensed to teach by the ESPB or approved to teach by the ESPB and employed primarily as classroom teachers.

2. The School Board has investigated the petition filed by the Carrington Education Association requesting that the association be recognized as the representative organization for the negotiating unit and has determined that the Education Association does represent a majority of the teachers within that unit. The Board recognizes the Carrington Education Association as the representative organization for a minimum of one year beginning February 14, 2023. Discussion. Motion.

3. Motion to set date, time, and place for school board election, June 6, 2023, 11:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m., in the High School Commons and to authorize business manager to publish filing deadline for candidates, prepare ballots, secure election judges and clerks, and to publish notice of election in accordance to state law. 4. Approval of the second reading of policy GAAE (Critical Race Theory). Attachment. Discussion. Motion.

5. Approval of the first reading of policy GAAC-BR (Procedure for reviewing complaints about instructional/resource material). Attachment. Discussion. Motion.

6. Motion to approve offering of a full time 12-month contract to Mitchell Becker as Agricultural Education and Family and Consumer Science teacher.

7. Review Carrington School Districts Safe Return to Learning and Continuity of Services Plan. Attachment. Discussion.

8. Motion to approve an open enrollment application for a second-grade student from Midkota to attend Carrington School.

9. Motion to approve an open enrollment application for a fourth-grade student from Midkota to attend Carrington School.

10. Motion to approve an open enrollment application for a sixth-grade student from Midkota to attend Carrington School.
