The Rylen Wick/Josh Moser tandem, along with solid free throw shooting, helped M-P-B salt away a six-point win in Pingree, 60-54, over LaMoure/Litchville-Marion on February 9.
Wick had 22 points and Moser 21 more for the Thunder, now 12-5 pending their final regular season games last Thursday with E-K-M and Saturday against North Border.
Max Musland finished with 19 points for the Loboes (9-8), hitting a trio of three-balls in the process. Colten Ness also added 17, while Anthony Hanson finished with eight in L-L-M's column.
The Thunder, with a 3-2 league record, currently sit in the third spot in the District 6 standings, behind South Border (4-0) and Linton-HMB (4-1). Both the Mustangs and the Lions have head-to-head victories over M-P-B.
The district tournament will be held at Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock High School February 24, 25 and 27.
