Carrington FFA Alumni Crop Show

The Annual Carrington FFA Alumni Crop Show was held at Runnings, February 20-23.

The Carrington FFA Alumni Crop show gives Carrington FFA members the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge of the crop industry of Foster County and the State of North Dakota.

The local crop show also gives FFA members an advantage in preparing grain samples for the North Dakota State Crop Show held in Valley City during the North Dakota Winter Show.

Carrington FFA members exhibited a total of 41 threshed grain samples. Thirteen different classes of grain were exhibited. The results are as follows:

HRSW: Sierra Friedt, First Place; Molly Hansen, Maddyx Davis, Blue; Mathew Schuster, Red

Durum: Gabe Ricter, First Place; Joe Lindberg, Blue; Mercedes Lura, Red

Flax: Abby Lee, First Place; Max Ciubotareanu, Red

Barley: Jaedyn Lura, First Place; Kelsi Neuman, Korbyn Zieman, Peyton Harrington, Noah Wobbema, Alex Braaten, Kayne Schafer, Blue; Sam Simons, Jacob Hinrichs, Red

Oats: Isabel Wendel, First Place; Hailee Weber, Ethan Roller, Red

Pink Beans: Reese Schafer, Joe Lindberg, Blue

Black Beans: RJ Ray, Maddox McIlonie, Blue; Max Whitman, Red

Red Beans: Sam Simons, McKade Zink, Red

Canola: London Davis, Blue

Oil Sunflowers: Joe Lindberg, First Place

Rye: Wyatt Kalliokoski, Red

Navy Beans: Cody Otto, Ashley Lindberg, Blue; Kanin Zieman, Talon Larsen, Red

Joe Lindberg earned the "Premier Exhibitor" award for the crop show, which is based on the quantity and quality of samples exhibited in the show.

The oil sunflower sample exhibited by Joe Lindberg was named the "Premier Exhibit," recognizing the sample as the overall outstanding exhibit.
