Wrestling Club holds banquet at CrossRoads

The Carrington Wrestling Club honored and recognized the kids, parents, coaches, volunteers and others that make the organization successful at their first year-end banquet Saturday night, May 5, at CrossRoads Golf Club.

Dennis Freeman of the Wrestling Club served as host and master of ceremonies of the banquet, which the club hopes will become a yearly tradition.

A prime rib supper, along with macaroni and potato salad, and various dessert items, was served to banquet patrons.

At the event, CHS Boys Head Coach Josh Kerbaugh, Junior High Coach Justin Jensen, and CHS Girls Assistant Coach Kip Kovar all spoke about their teams' past seasons, and named their top achievers for 2022-23.

Awards were presented to the Carrington Pitcrew preschool through third grade boys team, the third through sixth grade boys team, and the girls team.

The featured speaker for the event was former CHS wrestler Zach Broadwell.

At the end of the banquet, Mason Cook was presented with the Spencer Tufte Hardest Worker Award.
