Levi Kautzman of the Titans threw a lifetime-best 51 feet in the shot put to place fifth at the state track meet.
All of Griggs/Midkota's points at the 2023 State Track Meet, from both the Titan boys and girls, came from one event.
The shot put provided six points for the Titan girls' team, led by a third-place 37 feet, 4 inch heave by senior Asia Becherl. The G-M boys got four points with a fifth-place effort, those courtesy of sophomore Levi Kautzman's big toss of 51 feet.
