Northern Plains Electric scholarship opportunity

Northern Plains Electric Cooperative is offering two $1,000 luck-of-the-draw scholarships to two dependents of Northern Plains Electric Cooperative members at their annual meeting.

The luck-of-the-draw scholarship program, which is in its fourth year, recognizes and encourages the academic achievements of students in the region. It also serves as an investment in the economic future of rural areas.

To qualify, the student must be a dependent of a Northern Plains Electric Cooperative member, a 2023 high school graduate planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited, two-year, or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school in the Fall of 2023.

Students must be present to win and register using their guardian’s member account information.

The annual membership meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 13 in Maddock at the Benson County Event Center. Registration and meal will be from 5:00-6:00 p.m. with the business meeting starting at 6:00 p.m. All members are welcome.
