Fire hall celebrates 25 years at Open House

Carrington Fire and Rescue will be commemorating 25 years of the present fire department building at an Open House Wednesday night, August 9, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The fire hall was built in 1998, just to the west of the then-new City Hall building.

There will be burgers and hot dogs for all event attendees until they are gone, and prizes for all the kids. All are invited to come and meet the members of the fire department, and get a look at their trucks and other tools of the trade.

A full article on the Open House celebration will be published in a future edition of the Independent.
