Foster County merges auditor, treasurer posts after resignation

The Foster County Treasurer as well as the auditor will no longer be an elected position.
That was the decision made at the Foster County Commission meeting last week.
During the meeting held on Tuesday, August 1, a motion was passed to appoint the treasurer and auditor to their positions.
This all happened when Dianne Hertel resigned from her position as treasurer.
