FFA members at State LDE Day

Seventeen members of the Carrington FFA Chapter competed at the state Leadership Development Event (LDE) Day at the Bismarck Civic Center on Dec. 12.

Members represented the Carrington chapter in six LDE areas. LDE Day is an opportunity for FFA members who advance from the district level to compete against each other for the state title in eight different LDEs.

The Parliamentary Procedure team earned a silver award. Carrington members participating included president Joe Lindberg, vice president Kylie Skadberg, secretary Isabel Wendel, treasurer Bailey Ness, reporter Molly Hansen and sentinel Bryan Harris.

The Conduct of Chapter Meetings team earned a gold, fourth place finish. The Carrington Conduct of Chapter Meetings team included president Alexis Harris, vice president Cally Hansen, secretary Cyrena Kuss, treasurer Charles Jorgensen, reporter Kenleigh Hinrichs sentinel Kirby Freeman and student advisor Joie Helseth.

Joe Lindberg and Molly Hansen each earned silver awards in the Employment Skills and Prepared Public Speaking events, respectively. Ashley Lindberg earned a bronze in Extemporaneous Public Speaking.

The Advanced Quiz Team earned a gold, fourth place finish. Molly Hansen earned a gold and was the fourth-place individual. Abby Lee, Izzy Neuman, Emma Aberle and Bailey Ness earned silver awards.
