Patricia Stock

Patricia "Pattie" Stock, age 79, of Carrington, N.D., passed away in her sleep Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Golden Acres Manor, Carrington, ND.

Visitation was Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 6:00-7:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington.

Pattie's funeral service was held Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Carrington, N.D., with Pastor Rick Loewen officiating. Music was by Teresa Edland. Congregational hymns were "Blessed Assurance"and "It Is Well With My Soul." Recorded Music was "Take My Hand, Precious Lord" by Joey & Rory and "Peace In the Valley" by Elvis Presley. Her burial was at the Hillside Cemetery, Fessenden, N.D., following the service and fellowship.

Pallbearers were Taylor Skytland, Jordan Skytland. Mason Stock, Teddy Allmaras, Linus Allmaras and Brad Skytland.

Pattie was born June 24, 1944, in Bottineau, N.D., the second daughter of Arnold and Marian Berg. She graduated from Fessenden High School in 1962. Pattie attended Fargo Business College before becoming employed full-time in Fargo.

Pattie married Allen Stock on October 5, 1963, in Fessenden, N.D. Last October they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Together they were blessed with four children, Susette, Shelly, Tim, and Tony.

In 1976, Pattie and Allen purchased the Foster County Independent and moved their family to Carrington, N.D. Together they operated their business until Pattie retired in 2015.

Pattie was a stay-at-home mom until Susette, Shelly, and Tim were school-age. She enjoyed sewing, making many outfits, Halloween costumes, Barbie and baby doll clothing.

Pattie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Carrington Senior Citizen Center. Her hobbies included puzzles, crocheting, reading, iPad games, camping, and playing cards. Pattie was also very busy attending grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's activities. She was so proud of all of them.

Pattie is survived by her sister, Linda (Curt) Meth, Edmond, Okla.; children: Susette (Linus) Allmaras, New Rockford, N.D.; Shelly (Brad) Skytland, Carrington, N.D.; Tim (Amy) Stock, Waconia, Minn.; and Tony (Tami) Stock, Frazee, Minn. Grandchildren: Rachel Allmaras, Renelle Allmaras, Rebecca (Alex) Jarrett, Teddy Allmaras, Jordan (Kelsey) Skytland, Taylor (Josey) Skytland, Brenna Skytland, Morgan Stock, Mason Stock, Rylee Stock and Harlee Stock. Great-grandchildren: Myles Thompson, Motley Skytland, River, Rhen and Amelia Skytland and Luca Littlefield.

Pattie was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; her sister, Sheila Krueger, brother-in-law, Larry Krueger and her parents.
