Grants, scholarships for 4-H, FFA students

MINOT, N.D. – Hess Corporation (NYSE: HES) through the North Dakota State Fair Foundation will once again offer grants and scholarships to North Dakota high school students involved in 4-H or FFA.

Twenty $500 grants are available to 4-H clubs and FFA chapters to be used for one of two purposes: Community service projects that will benefit the club or chapter’s local area, or North Dakota State Fair participation, such as expenses associated with the club or chapter participating/exhibiting in the North Dakota State Fair. These funds are intended to allow opportunity to a group of members, not to an individual.

Due to a high level of available opportunities, the application deadline for these grants has been generously extended to Feb. 15, 2024, to ensure all eligible students have the chance to benefit from this program.

Additionally, high school seniors who are current members of either 4-H or FFA and are pursuing secondary education or training in a career related to or in support of the oil and gas industry are eligible to apply for one of eight scholarship opportunities.

The scholarships include three, $10,000 scholarships and five, $2,000 scholarships for a total of $40,000 awarded to North Dakota students. Scholarship applications are due March 15, 2024.
