Junior 4-H'ers Jennie Lee and Jackson Topp competed at the Southeast Judging Classic in Lisbon in late February.
The Foster County 4-H agronomy judging teams wrapped up their season at the state contest in Carrington on Saturday, March 9.
The senior team finished first out of six teams. Individually, Kenleigh Hinrichs placed second, Abby Lee was third and Joe Lindberg was fifth. Twenty-one seniors competed in the event.
In the junior division, Foster County finished ninth out of ten teams. Jackson Topp was 13th and Jennie Lee was 24th out of 40 contestants.
4-H'ers who participate in agronomy judging learn to evaluate seed quality and to identify certain crop and weed seeds.
The Foster County team is coached by Joel Lemer and Bruce Bachmeier.
