Community VBS scheduled for May 28-31

“The Great Jungle Journey” is the theme for the 2024 Carrington Community Vacation Bible School, which will be held May 28-31 at the Calvary Baptist Church building.

Several local churches have a long-term plan and on-going rotation, so those congregations can share in the preparation for a week of fun activity.

“The Great Jungle Journey: An Epic Cruise from Genesis to Revelation” explores key biblical events, including Creation, Corruption and Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ and the Cross, and Consummation. Did the universe start with a big bang, or did God create it? Where did all people groups originate? Mankind is sinful and needs a Savior. How does it all turn out? Best news ever –God wins against sin and Satan!

While Calvary is designated as the host for this 2024 Community VBS, teams from other local churches will lead activities and guide groups of students around the building and grounds to various activities. Local ministers and lay leaders will teach the daily Bible lessons. Individuals who wish to help in any of these areas, or who would like to guide groups throughout the building, should contact Linda Schuster at 701-653-6028.

Children who have completed kindergarten through the sixth grade will play games, sing songs, memorize scripture, construct crafts and enjoy treats, with all activities reinforcing the daily Bible lesson. The Great Jungle Journey is a high-energy, total-time teaching curriculum from Answers in Genesis publishing.

There is a registration fee of $15 for one child from a family, $25 for two children from the same family, and a cap of $35 per family. No child will be refused because of financial concerns, though -- for confidential arrangements, contact Linda Schuster at 701-653-6028.
