Johnson sets school 800 record at HWC Invitational; now holds CHS standards in three longest races -
Madison Johnson cruises down the curve while running the 4x800-meter relay at the HWC Invitational in Fessenden. The senior broke Abigail Jarrett's seven-year old record in the 800-meter run at the meet, clocking a time of 2:19.34 to eclipse Jarrett's standard by .57 seconds.
In this, her final season on the track as a Cardinal, Madison Johnson has come into her own and established herself as one of the program's legends.
Now, it just remains to be seen if those blistering numbers on the stopwatch translate to individual or team glory at the state meet this upcoming Thursday-Saturday in Bismarck.
