G-M rolled over a completely outmatched Barnes County North team with 20-point quarters in each period of play, and got their first victory of the winter, 88-11. Erik Gjovik|Feb 6, 2023

Say what one will about the Carrington boys' basketball team's season thus far, but one thing is for sure: They are never boring. Down six with over half of the fourth quarter to go, Carrington made the plays down the stretch to take an emotional one-point thriller, 41-40, over the LaMoure/Litchville-Marion Loboes on the road Friday night, Janaury 27. "It was a big win, as we get to control our destiny in the district and try and cinch up a number two seed with a win or two next week," Head...

    Erik Gjovik|Feb 6, 2023

In Linton Monday night, January 30, the M-P-B Thunder basketball teams were back in action for key District 6 contests with the Linton-HMB Lions. For both cases, it was disappointment, as the Lady Lions took a 47-38 win over the Thunder, and the boys' team edged M-P-B by the slimmest of margins, 60-59. The opener featured three Lion players carrying the scoring load, led by 17 points from junior guard Allie Dockter. Fourteen points came from Emma Weiser, and Jersey Vogel, a sophomore, had 11 to...

The Titans overcame a nine-point deficit at the end of the first quarter, but fought possession by possession to take a 51-46 win over the Rebels in Edgeley on Saturday, January 28. Seven threes helped turn the tide for G-M, with sophomore Brady Haugen's 21 points and four treys proving decisive. Carter Spitzer had the other three long...
