Energy contest available to North Dakota fifth graders

North Dakota is rich in fossil fuels — coal, oil and natural gas. Hundreds of items we use every day are made from them.
Fifth grade students anywhere in North Dakota are encouraged to research these energy sources and find out what some of the many items are. You might be surprised. One example (which you can’t use) is your eye glasses!
