The North Dakota USA Gymnastics State Championships were held at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex (SHAC) in Fargo March 25-27.
This year, the Carrington Gymnastics Club had 16 girls compete at the state meet in the USAG XCEL levels.
Bronze level placers were as follows:
• Brynlee Hoff: eighth, vault and uneven bars; fifth, balance beam
• Genevieve Inglish: fifth, floor exercise
• Addison Thompson: champion, vault; eighth, beam
Silver level placers were as follows:
• Anna Monson: seventh, beam
• Paisley Lura: 10th, bars
• Maddie Roller: 10th, vault; second, floor
• Briley Carr: 10th, beam
The only Gold level placer was Tessa Mittleider, who placed third on vault, eighth on bars, ninth on beam, fourth on floor, and fifth in the all-around with a score of 35.95.
Carrington gymnasts who scored a 9.0 or higher during the meet were:
• Addison Thompson, 9.25 vault, 9.1 beam
• Anna Monson, 9.05 bars
• Jazmyn Ybarra, 9.2 floor
• Jessa Larsen, 9.225 bars
• Leighton Rzaszutak, 9.1 floor
• Maddie Roller, 9.4 floor
• Paisley Lura, 9.25 bars
• Tessa Mittleider, 9.0 vault, 9.25 floor
Carrington Gymnastics Club also had gymnasts qualify for the XCEL National Meet, to be held June 17-19 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The following qualified for Florida: Brynlee Hoff, Leighton Rzaszutak, Addison Thompson, Maddie Roller, Paisley Lura, Tessa Mittleider, and Jazmyn Ybarra.
