Babysitter safety class at ambulance station

CHI St. Alexius Carrington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is holding a Babysitters’ Safety Day class this Wednesday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the ambulance bay at 840 4th St. N.

Cost for the class is $20 per child, and all students ages 10 and up are welcome to attend.

Students will learn CPR, first aid, the Heimlich maneuver, fire safety, how to make homemade edible play dough, and much, much more.

To register, contact CHI Carrington EMS Manager Amy Andel by calling 652-2374, and to leave a message. Remember, the class is this Wednesday, so sign up as soon as possible.

Andel said that if there is enough demand for the class for interested students, additional classes could be held at a later date to get enrollees their training skills.
