June Hansen

June M. Hansen passed away on August 14, 2022, with her family beside her.

June was born June 14, 1926, to Charles and Christina Seibold in New Rockford Township.

She attended school in New Rockford, N.D., and then later moved to Carrington, N.D., where she graduated from high school in 1945.

She worked at the county courthouse as a Deputy County Superintendent until she married the love of her life Norman L. Hansen on September 11, 1949.

They made their home in Edmunds Township in Stutsman County. They had three children: Douglas, Jeanne and Lisa. They moved to Melville and continued to farm and raise livestock. In 1968, they moved to Carrington but continued to farm in Melville.

June loved to garden, play golf and have coffee with her special girlfriends. She enjoyed music, bowling, camping, traveling and fishing. Her family was her true joy and every moment she could spend with them she did. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Douglas Hansen (Mary), Fargo, N.D., Jeanne Hansen, Jamestown, N.D., and Lisa Johnson (Rod), Jamestown, N.D.; six grandchildren, Nichol, Lindsey, Noah, Nyah, Joe, and Katie; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents-Charles and Christine Seilbold; four sisters, Carol Seibold, Doris Frogner, Alice Slaaten, and Geraldine Linnell.

She will be missed more than words can be expressed in words.

Visitation was at 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 18, followed by a prayer service at 4:00 p.m., all at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, N.D.

Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, August 19 at Temple Baptist Church, Jamestown. Burial was at Carrington Cemetery, Carrington, N.D.
