Life Walk to be held September 24

Carrington, N.D. – With the overturning of Roe v. Wade, it is more important than ever to support women in crisis pregnancy situations and their unborn children. Statewide pregnancy centers have seen an increase in needs over the past several months.

The Carrington area pro-life group “Life Savers” is teaming up with Women’s Care Center to host our 8th Annual Life Walk. The event will be held on Saturday, September 24 starting at 9 a.m. at the Carrington City Park, Main Shelter near the pool. People are asked to join an easy two-mile walk along Highway 281 to the roundabout to show their support of the life affirming services that are available at their North Dakota locations.

Following the walk, a light breakfast/refreshments and drinks will take place. Items will once again be available to bid on during the silent auction following the walk. This freewill offering event will benefit the Women’s Care Centers in Devils Lake.

Interested in walking, donating a silent auction item or can’t make it and wish to give a donation? The local contact for the Carrington walk is Angela Boeshans (701-650-8857).

Women’s Care Centers offer pregnancy testing and ultrasounds All services are confidential and FREE to the client. The centers seek to empower healthy, life-affirming choices to all who walk through their doors. They also provide parenting classes, counseling and more to help ease the transition of choosing life.

Come out and enjoy a crisp North Dakota morning by taking a walk to show your support for life!
