Police officer Maurice Schlak and Dillon Flemmer of CF&R help load a chair for a young shopper, which he plans to use for gaming purposes.
"Holiday with our Heroes" was held Tuesday night, Dec. 6, in Carrington.
First responders and law enforcement agencies assisted 33 to 35 kids, who were each instructed to spend between $125-$150 on gifts for themselves, family and/or friends.
The event is coordinated by the Carrington Police Department and Foster County Sheriff's Department, with assistance from other agencies.
