The season’s worst storm hit Carrington at 9 p.m. Wednesday, when snow began falling and the wind blew at 50 or more miles per hour. Before the snow came a heavy rain fell. The wind came up suddenly and with flurry. Thursday morning, the storm was still at its height. Highway travel was impossible.
