Wanzek, Thomas earn state berths for M-P-B

The Medina/Pingree-Buchanan Thunder got two state qualifiers at the South Central Regional Track Meet in Hazen Friday, May 19. Both of those slots came from the boys team.

Representing the Thunder at the state meet this past Thursday-Saturday were high jumper Sawyer Wanzek (second overall at South Central with a 5'10" effort), and Mark Thomas, who took third in the 110-meter hurdles in 17.88 seconds.

M-P-B's girls team had one competitor miss qualification by one place, as Sophia Bohl took fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a 17.84 time.
