Hornets achieve peak performances at state

Tallen Thorson clears this row of hurdles in the 110-meter event. Thorson would place second to Kindred's Trey Heinrich in 15.22 seconds, and suffered some bad luck in the 300-meter hurdle finals, taking sixth with a tumble on the final hurdle after winning the state title last season as a freshman.
The Harvey-Wells County Hornets' track and field team had some great finishes at the recently-held state Track and Field meet at the MDU Resources Community Bowl in Bismarck.
Many of the performances from HWC were season-bests, and some were even personal bests as the Hornet boys scored in four events and finished in a tie for 10th overall in the boys' division.
