Class A Region 2 football team selections revealed

Carrington had five players selected to the Class A Region 2 team, as well as four additional players on the Honorable Mention squad.

Quarterback/free safety Josh Bickett, along with running back/linebacker Corbin Clifton, center/defensive tackle Brock Jungels, wide receiver/strong safety Grady Shipman, and running back/cornerback Logan Weninger were named as All-Region selections for the Cards.

Making Honorable Mention status were guard/inside linebacker Jake Otto, guard/defensive lineman Carson Ova, wide receiver/cornerback Jaxon Schaefer and running back/linebacker McKade Zink.

The HWC Hornets had four make All-Region, led by tight end/defensive end Keaton Keller, offensive/defensive lineman Gavyn Schuh, running back/linebacker Kayl Sieg and quarterback/cornerback Tallen Thorson.

Hornets selected as Honorable Mention included cornerback/wide receiver Nixon Buchmiller, cornerback/wide receiver Jaxon Feist, offensive/defensive lineman Andrew Fry and fullback/outside linebacker Christian Mertz.

As expected, Region 2 champion and playoff semifinalist Langdon/Edmore/Munich had the most First Team selections with six, and added four Honorable Mentions to their total. The Cardinals also had the Region 2 Senior Athlete of the Year, Mason Romfo, and Coach of the Year went to Josh Krivarchka.
