Nedrose edges Cards in OT; fall to 0-6 with loss to Jays

CHS had a golden opportunity for their first win of the season go by the wayside in the opener of the Carrington Shootout, as they dropped a 66-63 overtime heartbreaker to the Nedrose Cardinals.

The next day, Stanley took control from the outset and sent the hometown Cards to their sixth straight defeat to begin the season, 62-28.

Junior guard Josh Bickett gave Carrington a chance with 27 points, including six in the extra session. Ten points each were scored by Ryder Bickett and Grady Shipman, and Taylen Mehring was effective off the bench with eight first half points.

Against Stanley, Shipman and Owen Hagel were the leaders with nine points, with Hagel's all via three.
