The Kiwanis organization is all about helping children in the community and around the world. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.
In 2023, the Carrington Kiwanis Club volunteered their time and donations to many local causes including: Carrington Dollars for Scholars, West Side Park Project, Out of the Darkness-Suicide Prevention, CHS FBLA, Carrington Kid's Experience, Carrington Community Picnic, Reading Glasses for Kids, Carrington Daily Bread Backpack Program, Youth Track Meet Sponsor, Educational Scholarships to four CHS seniors, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Hwy 281 N highway ditch cleaning.
In all, a total of over $3,800.00 was donated back to help the area youth last year.
Our local Carrington Kiwanis Club also has great presenters on interesting topics at our meetings which are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month during the noon hour. The meetings take place at the Chieftain.
