    Harvey-Wells County senior Haleigh Lematta was chosen as one of the top 18 Class B softball players recognized for the All-State team. The right-handed pitcher and shortstop for the Hornets posted some very impressive statistics. Lematta batted .614 for HWC, with six home runs and 24 RBIs.     Joel Lemer has won re-election to the Carrington School Board in an uncontested race. There were 128 votes cast at the polls on Tuesday, June 7.
