Carrington senior Michael Clifton takes West Fargo's Jacob Bild down, and would record a first-period pin over the Packer wrestler at 182 pounds to earn his 200th career win as a Cardinal.
Class A opponents Devils Lake and West Fargo brought their teams to the East Gym Thursday night, January 27, for a triangular dual with Carrington.
The Cards contested 12 matches to the Firebirds' eight, and won a 60-12 victory. In the nightcap, CHS did well to stay with the Packers, but fell by three, 39-36.
Double winners in the dual were Trace Hoggarth (113), Matthew Duchscherer (126 & 132), Brecken Lura (138, pin and forfeit), Michael Clifton (182, pin and forfeit), and Callen Garber (195, pin and forfeit.)
In the West Fargo match, Clifton recorded a pin at 1:18 of the first round over Jacob Bild, representing his 200th career victory as a Cardinal wrestler.
