Jack Erickson slides safely into the base on this play. Erickson had a hit, stolen base, run and RBI in the Cards' first game of the season, an 8-3 win over South Border.
Grady Shipman and Hudson Schmitz confounded the South Border lineup for one total hit and 10 strikeouts, and Carrington's spring baseball season got off on a strong note.
Even with the Cardinals managing just five total hits themselves, their bats awoke late to provide needed late run support in an 8-3 opening win in Wishek over the South Border Mustangs Saturday afternoon, April 9.
