Mustangs drop pair to Loboes, shut out by MPCG Patriots

Midkota/Dakota Prairie/Lakota/Griggs Co. Central got one game in the books, an 8-6 win over SNR on April 4, then had to play the waiting game with the cold and snow for 24 days.

Upon their return to the field on Thursday, April 28, defending state champion LaMoure/Litchville-Marion was their welcoming party. The Loboes were in no mood to be housewarming guests, rolling to a 10-0 win over the Mustangs.

Midkota then ventured out of Region 3 for their home opener in Tolna against the May-Port-CG Patriots this past Monday, but the bats remained silent in an 8-0 defeat.

So, once again, the ‘Stangs had to lace up the cleats at home one day later opposite L-L-M, and the result was largely the same in a 14-1 loss.

M/DP/L/GCC (1-3 overall, 1-2 Region 3) played a doubleheader in Tolna against South Border on Thursday, taking the home honors in game one and the visitor’s role in the nightcap. On Friday, they hosted Carrington.

Boxscores from the three games were unavailable.
