Girls' golfers start at Cass, Mayville meets

The Carrington girls’ golf team officially kicked off the 2022-23 school year’s sporting slate with meets in Casselton on August 8 and Mayville two days later on August 10.

The Cards placed third as a team at both meets, which are composed entirely of Region 2 schools.

Two girls finished in the top 10 at Casselton, those being Kacie Rexin in third place with an 18-hole score of 81, and Aubrey Neis taking ninth at 104.

In Mayville, Rexin won that meet, again shooting 81, and Neis came in eighth with another 104 scorecard. CHS had an additional placer, Molly Hansen, shoot 106 to take ninth.

Week two of play took the girls to Fargo Country Club last Monday, August 15. Rexin placed third, with no score listed.

Carrington was busy the latter half of this past week with meets in Enderlin (August 17) and Hillsboro (August 19).

Tuesday, they travel to Oxbow for a 9 a.m. meet, and Cooperstown Friday at 10 a.m.
