First 'W' for Titans, too: Snap 12-game losing streak

Good feelings, which have been in short supply thus far for the Griggs/Midkota Titan football program, rose to the surface following a 24-0 blanking over the Enderlin Eagles Friday, September 16, to give G-M their first win this season.

In fact, it was the Titans' first victory in a 12-game span, dating back to October 16, 2020, when they defeated Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page, 26-22, in the final week of that season.

Titan sophomore quarterback Brady Haugen scored all three touchdowns. He scored from three yards out in the first quarter, and added the two-point conversion on a pass to Coltyn Hilbert.

The second scoring sequence was all Haugen, as he took it to the house for a 54-yard scoring play in the second quarter and added the conversion. G-M's final score came in the fourth, when Haugen scored a five-yard run and converted the two-point pass to Kindle Carlson.

The Titans (1-1 9B Region 2, 1-4 overall) played host to Hatton-Northwood at GCCHS last Friday, and make the short trip to Hope this upcoming week to face Maple River (Maple Valley/Hope-Page) at 7 p.m. Both games are regional contests.
